The Granfondo route of the 3 Ballons Chef de File will set off from Ronchamp for a 181km route including the following climbs: the Ballons de Servance (1216m), the Col d’Oderen (884m), Le Markstein (1 247m), the Grand Ballon (1 424m), the Ballon d’Alsace (1 247m) and of course La Planche des Belles Filles, with a short but hard finish including portions at more than 15%.

Come and take on some of the monuments of the Tour de France! It wasn’t even a year ago that the Ballon d’Alsace was on the menu of the 20th stage of the 2023 Tour de France. The stage finished at the summit of Markstein and was brilliantly won by Pogaçar!

This same Slovenian also raised his arms victoriously at the summit of the Planche des Belles Filles in 2020 and 2022. Ready to follow in his footsteps?

ACCESSIBILITY: The start in Ronchamp and the arrival at La Planche des Belles Filles are in nearby towns, so the return journey from La Planche can easily be done by bike. The route back to the departure point is either downhill or slightly downhill (a total of 14km from the foot of La Planche des Belles Filles and a 150m descent). You will have no trouble getting back to Ronchamp if that is where your vehicle is parked.
